Econo Solar (operated by Shanghai Econo Technology Co., Ltd., hereafter "we", "us", "our") respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data.

Information you provide directly

When you submit a quote request, subscribe to our newsletter, or contact us via email/WhatsApp, we collect:

• Identity information: name, company name, job role, country/region
• Contact information: business email address, phone number, WhatsApp handle
• Project information: products of interest, project size, destination port, target delivery date, Incoterm preferences, grid-code requirements
• Communication history: emails, messages, RFQ documents, and your replies

Information collected automatically

• Server logs: IP address, user agent, referer URL, requested page, timestamp (retained 90 days)
• Cookies: We use first-party functional cookies only (language preference, form-progress state). We do not use advertising tracking cookies, third-party analytics, or behavioural profiling.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information you provide to:

• Respond to your quote requests with stock status, lead time and pricing
• Process orders, prepare shipping documents and provide after-sales support
• Send order confirmations, shipping notices and warranty registration confirmations
• Send newsletter content (engineering articles, product launches) — only if you have explicitly subscribed
• Comply with legal and tax-reporting obligations in China and in destination countries

3. Information Sharing

We do not sell, rent or trade your information. We share data only in the following limited cases:

• Shipping & logistics partners (freight forwarders, customs brokers): minimum information necessary to deliver your order — typically company name, port-of-loading destination, and shipping documents.
• Manufacturer warranty processing (Sungrow, LONGi, Jinko, Trina, JA Solar): module/inverter serial numbers, your company name, and installation location — required for warranty registration on your behalf.
• Legal obligations: We disclose information when required by law, court order, or to protect the rights, property or safety of Econo Solar, our customers, or others.

4. Data Security

We protect your information through:

• HTTPS/TLS encryption for all web traffic
• Encrypted email between Econo Solar staff and corporate partners
• Access controls limiting customer-data access to sales and operations personnel only
• Regular security audits of our website infrastructure (hosted on Cloudflare Pages)

5. Data Retention

Quote requests are retained for 5 years for follow-up sales activity. Active customer records (those who have placed orders) are retained for 10 years for warranty and tax-audit purposes. Newsletter subscriptions retained until you unsubscribe.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Correct inaccurate information
• Delete your data (subject to legal retention obligations)
• Object to processing or unsubscribe from newsletters
• Data portability — receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format

7. International Data Transfers

Econo Solar is based in Shanghai, China. If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), UK, or other jurisdictions with data-protection laws, please be aware that submitting your information to us involves transferring it to and processing it in China. By submitting information, you consent to this transfer.

8. Cookies & Tracking

We use a minimal set of first-party functional cookies only:

• lang_pref: stores your preferred language (13 supported)
• form_progress: temporary cookie holding form state during quote submission

We do not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or other third-party tracking cookies. No advertising tracking. No behavioural profiling.

9. Children's Privacy

This site is intended for business customers (B2B). We do not knowingly collect information from minors.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via a banner on the homepage for 30 days. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent change.
